A Brief History of Human Sex
Dogs do it, cats do it, even your sagging grandmother has done it once or twice back in the day, humans since the dawn of time have done it. Humans have basically been the same anatomically for about 100,000 years—so it is safe to say that if we do it and most importantly enjoy it now, then so did our cave dwelling ancestors. Humans and all animals are hard wired to seek out sex and to continue to do so. I imagine that is evidence that people at least like sex and even if they don't engage in conversation as though they do, because of embarrassment. That's not to say that cultural norms keep people from exploring the taboo, but only what is admitted to openly. The idea that there is a sexual line that must not be crossed but when in the act of sex those boundaries are not as limited as the proclaim to be.Religion especially has held powerful opinion over the mind's thought process towards what is deemed acceptable. Men and women who lived during the Middle Ages were certainly affected by the fear of sin, because of religion was the reason the meaning for life. The liberalization of sexuality kicked into high gear by the 1960s with the controversial invention of the birth control pills- even thought prior there were herbs and other methods of birth control. this allowed women to have the same options after sex as men-after sex not having to worry about pregnancy.
